UNC Healthcare Get Real and Heel

This renovation for the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center creates a welcoming and comfortable space for cancer patients to access physical, mental and emotional therapy during treatment recovery. Formerly called the Carolina Outdoor Education Center, the facility was renovated and repositioned to accommodate group and individual exercise classes and equipment in an open, light-filled space.

To more thoughtfully accommodate therapy patients, bathroom facilities were renovated for ease of accessibility and to allow patients opportunities to change clothes and shower on site.
