EDUCATION:

Bachelor of Architecture
Drexel University

Raised in PA, I studied at Drexel University in Philadelphia while working full-time for a mid-size architecture firm in the area. My wife and I fell in love with NC after visiting, and moved down as soon as we could after graduation. I have been blessed with a variety of experience on projects of many types and sizes. And I’m always hungry for the next challenge!

As architects and designers, we quite literally shape the world in which we live.  The truth that every project has an impact on the world beyond itself is a reality that I recognize that as a tremendous responsibility.  At the end of each project, I aim to be able to confidently say the world is better than it was before, even if just a little bit.

On my desk you will always find an inspiring quote or two.

When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my wife and keeping up with my boys.

EDUCATION:

Master of Architecture
University of Wisconsin

Growing up in the Midwest, those frigid winters gave me plenty of time to curl up with my sketchbook.  This undeniable love of design lead me to graduate with a BS and Master of Architecture from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.  I began my career as an experiential designer for a nationally recognized retailer.  In 2017 I relocated to Raleigh to work for a large architectural firm.  There I grew a solid foundation in the practice of architecture and earned my architectural license.  Here at 310ai, I’m excited to bring my diverse skills together to create quality design work, and provide an exceptional experience for each of our clients.

When I was a kid, I actually did want to be an architect.  My young self was amazed how different spaces could make you feel and experience things in so many ways.

When I’m not at work, I’m happiest when I’m making something… anything from home DIY to fine art.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor of Arts Architecture          University of North Carolina Charlotte

Bachelors in Architecture                         North Carolina State University

As a designer, I’m a generalist, which has allowed me the luxury of working on a diverse collection of project types (Higher Education, Community and Cultural, K-12, Healthcare, Retail, Mixed Use, Multi and Single Family Residential, Transit Infrastructure…) I enjoy bringing together each design based on their individual qualities of site and program, celebrating them through thoughtful spatial organization and appropriate use of materials.

I believe community engagement is important to the profession of architecture, as such I have served for the AIA and the City of Raleigh in various capacities for the better part of the past 20 years.

When I was a kid I wanted to be an artist and a pitcher in the MLB.

When I’m not at work, I’m happiest when I’m painting or writing/playing music.

The most inspiring part of my job is transferring knowledge to younger staff and watching their development.

When I’m not at work, I’m happiest when I’m playing piano at home.
