As a designer, I’m a generalist, which has allowed me the luxury of working on a diverse collection of project types (Higher Education, Community and Cultural, K-12, Healthcare, Retail, Mixed Use, Multi and Single Family Residential, Transit Infrastructure…) I enjoy bringing together each design based on their individual qualities of site and program, celebrating them through thoughtful spatial organization and appropriate use of materials.
I believe community engagement is important to the profession of architecture, as such I have served for the AIA and the City of Raleigh in various capacities for the better part of the past 20 years.
When I was a kid I wanted to be an artist and a pitcher in the MLB.
When I’m not at work, I’m happiest when I’m painting or writing/playing music.

My career as an interior designer has evolved alongside my pursuit of life and love, as I relocated to many beautiful parts of the country. After college, I began as a young design professional in D.C., followed a boy to Palm Beach, and eventually settled in California’s wine country and started a family. I had no idea I would stay there for almost a decade, where I was able to gain the technical experience to advance my career. Since relocating back to NC, I have had several experiences which have renewed my passion for focusing on healthcare interior design.
On my desk you will always find a photo of my son.
I’m surprisingly good at identifying the make of a vehicle, at night, just by the shape of the headlights.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Fine Arts, Interior Architecture
I am a Triangle Native from Durham, NC, and graduated with a degree in Interior Architecture from UNC Greensboro. While my previous experience is in multi-family interiors, I have enjoyed designing a wide range of project types including healthcare, retail, restaurant, and corporate interiors while at 310ai.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be a Broadway singer.
The most inspiring part of my job is watching initial ideas transform into beautiful, functional spaces that really work for our clients.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Architecture

Raised in PA, I studied at Drexel University in Philadelphia while working full-time for a mid-size architecture firm in the area. My wife and I fell in love with NC after visiting, and moved down as soon as we could after graduation. I have been blessed with a variety of experience on projects of many types and sizes. And I’m always hungry for the next challenge!
As architects and designers, we quite literally shape the world in which we live. The truth that every project has an impact on the world beyond itself is a reality that I recognize that as a tremendous responsibility. At the end of each project, I aim to be able to confidently say the world is better than it was before, even if just a little bit.
On my desk you will always find an inspiring quote or two.
When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my wife and keeping up with my boys.

Since joining 310ai in 2019, I have had the opportunity to learn and expand my architectural experience. I’ve been working on projects of all scales and budgets throughout North Carolina. In each project, my goal is to bring a holistic approach that encapsulates the spirit of its place. Visiting my hometown of Chapel Hill, eating good food, and attending sporting events of his alma mater keep me busy outside of work, in addition to studying for my licensure exams.
As a kid I won 3, 1st place ribbons for lego building at the NC State Fair!
